GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE NUMBER PLATE PAYMENT SERVICE AT THE CAR PARKS OF AENA S.A. AIRPORTS.

This document sets out the general terms and conditions of the Number Plate Payment service and the car park’s operating regulations. Use of this service entails full acceptance of these general terms and conditions.

Number Plate Payments constitute a new system for the management and payment of stays at the Aena car parks exclusively available to Aena Club Cliente members.

The Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Alicante-Elche, Barcelona-El Prat Josep Tarradellas, Bilbao and Valencia Airports will be the first to implement this system in their car parks and it will be available later at the other airports. The Number Plate Payment service can be registered via the user profile by using the official Aena website and/or app and managing the data there.

The Number Plate Payment service consists of the reading and identification of the vehicle’s number plate at the car park entrance and exit, as a result of which it will not be necessary to issue a ticket when entering and leaving. Once the vehicle enters the car park, the reader will recognise the registered number plate, which will be associated with the activated Number Plate Payment service; the barrier will thus open automatically and the vehicle will be able to enter and park. This service is only suitable for cars, as motorbikes will be unable to use the Number Plate Payment system due to the complexity of reading their number plates.

In order to use the Number Plate Payment system, it will be necessary to enter the data on the vehicle and payment method in each user’s profile. At least one and a maximum of three number plates associated with a card must be entered. The same card can be associated for different number plates, but it will not be possible to use different cards for the same number plate.

Furthermore, if the same vehicle is used by different users, the whole process of using the car park, including the payment, will be associated with the profile that registers the Number Plate Payment service for that vehicle, i.e. the registration number can only be associated with a single user.

It will be necessary to sign up for the Number Plate Payment service before entering the car park; activation of this service will not be valid once the vehicle has entered the car park.

To obtain the club discounts users will need to scan their return boarding card so that the new amount can be calculated and automatically saved.

On leaving the car park, the user won’t have to complete any additional steps, as the barrier will identify the vehicle associated with the Number Plate Payment service and allow him/her to leave the car park without the need for a ticket. The amount corresponding to the stay will be charged to the chosen card at that moment.

If the total amount of the stay is less than €100 (final price with the discount, if any, applied), the user can go directly to the exit, and the barrier will open when he/she passes through it. Conversely, if the total amount of the stay is more than €100 (final price with the discount, if any, applied), the user must go to the manual checkout to complete the payment.

Once the payment has been made, the status of the service will change to “paid”; however if a card error occurs, the status of the service will change to “unpaid”. The user must replace the inserted card with a valid one and try to make the payment again or go to the manual checkout to finalise the payment.

It is the user’s responsibility to cancel the Payment by Number Plate service if the vehicle is sold or there is any other situation in which the user is no longer the owner. If the registration is not cancelled and the vehicle accesses the car park, the entire stay at the car park, including payment, will be associated with the profile that activated the Payment by Number Plate for that vehicle until the user cancels the service through their Aena Club profile.

The service must be cancelled once the vehicle is outside the car park. It is not possible to cancel the service if a stay is pending payment or if the vehicle is registered in the parking system as being parked in a car park.

The rates to be applied to the Number Plate Payment service will be those in force at each airport. In the case of parking with a prior booking, the rate to be applied will be the one established for this service. The Terms and Conditions for bookings set out above will apply.

Unlike the rates offered for conventional parking, users who use the Number Plate Payment service will be able to benefit from the discounts associated with being members of Aena Club Cliente.
